“ I had visited Maione's several times over the years when they were a sit-down restaurant. I never noticed the plaque on the wall referencing Emmys in Bridgeport. Emmys was a wonderful pizza place in the hi ho mall that all the kids from high school used to go to, it was the best New York style pizza. I asked the owner and he said that he was the owner of Emmys and we had a great conversation about the old days. I'm not going to hear every Friday to pick up a fresh loaf of bread, and some slices for the weekend. The pizza is not only a nostalgic trip but it's also some of the best New York style pizza in this area. The only competitor in my opinion was pizza time but they've been closed for 15 years. Do yourself a favor and head over and have a cheese pizza it's wonderful. ”
